NFL Week 8 Betting
The NFL kicks off week 8 of the season on Thursday night with a clash between the Vikings and Chargers. Jim Harbaugh’s team is favored by a field goal expected to get a home win improving to 4 - 3, as the 3 - 3 Vikings have alternated wins and losses all season.
Among the stranger lines of the week comes from Houston, as the 2 - 4 Texans are favored against the 5 - 2 49ers. Brock Purdy is out, and the reemergence of Mac Jones has been inspiring. Jones was injured in last week’s win against the Falcons, but he was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice, likely to be back under center on Sunday.
The Giants and Eagles are getting their season series done with early this season, as the two NFC teams just met two weeks ago and are going at it again on Sunday in Philly. Jaxson Dart has Giants’ fans exciting to put on the blue jersey’s in support of a team that is playing better football.
The Giants destroyed the Eagles in the first meeting on October 9, 34 - 17, and the defending Super Bowl Champions have revenge on their minds. EJ would suggest you snag all +7.5 of those points with the boys in blue, in the rematch!
NCAA Football Week 8 Betting
Week 8 of the NCAA Football season started on Tuesday again this week, which means we get some kind of football game every damn day of the week. When that’s wrong, we don’t want to be right! But, if you do want to be right, check the playmaker section of the platform to see what out experts have to say about this weekend’s action on the gridiron.
We have one Thursday night game out of the Sun Belt Conference, and if you are interested in that game, what the hell is wrong with you? Two 1 - 6 Sun Belt teams, and you like making money, right? Leave that junk game alone and choose from the trio of Friday, or the massive Saturday slate on deck for this weekend.
We are down to 6 remaining undefeated teams in FBS, and we know one them will stay that way with Ohio State enjoying their bye week before their clash with Penn State next week.
Georgia Tech is home against Syracuse looking to remain perfect in 2025, and the 17-point favorites are expected to enjoy home cookin’ while arriving to 8 - 0!
BYU has a trip to Ames this weekend, as they put their perfect record on the line against the Cyclones. The Cougars and Bearcats are the last remaining undefeated teams in Big12 play, but it’s homecoming weekend in Ames, and the Cyclones need this win to stay in the conversation toward the Big12 title game.
MLB Playoffs: The Fall Classic Has Arrived!
It’s time to crown a champion! The World Series begins on Friday night in Los Angeles, and the Dodgers and Blue Jays will have one last showdown for all the marbles.
The Blue Jays and Dodgers played one series in early August this season, and the two teams have met for a series in each of the last three years. In 2023, Toronto charged into LA and took two of three games from the Dodgers. In 2024, the Dodgers returned the favor, went into Toronto, and earned two wins from three games.
The Dodgers won two of the three meetings in August, and are heavy favorites with Blake Snell starting Game 1 of the World Series in LA. Snell threw a gem in the NLDS, and the two-time Cy Young Award winner hopes to put his team up a game early.
The Blue Jays have yet to announce who their Game 1 starting pitcher will be, so stay tuned!
This Week Inside the Octagon: UFC 321
UFC 321 is set for Saturday night, October 25, at Etihad Arena, Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.
Two titles will be on the line on Saturday, and the heavyweight main event features champ Tom Aspinall (15-3) and Ciryl Gane (13-2). Aspinall is heavily favored to retain his title at -400, and the England native could face a good challenge against the Frenchman.
The second title fight of the night takes place right before the main event, as a pair of Brazilians will vie for the vacated woman’s strawweight title. Virna Jandiroba (22-3) will take on Mackenzie Dern (15-5), and Dern was on ESPN Sports Center last night talking about the opportunity to hoist the hardware. Dern is listed as the -140 favorite to take the title, but this might end up being the best fight on the entire card!
NBA Season Officially Underway
The NBA Season is officially underway, and every team in the league will have a game under its belt after tonight. Only two games are scheduled for Thursday night in the Association. Denver takes the court for the first time this season in Golden State as 2-point dogs, and the Pacers open their 2025 ledger as +7.5-point underdogs at home against OKC.
The Celtics and Knicks renew their rivalry on Friday night, after a wild playoff series a year ago. The Knickerbockers are 7-point favs on the early line, but we expect a much closer battle to ensue!
There are 14 games listed on the weekend schedule, and the Discord channel is popping lately with plays and chatter from the NBA, so come and get in the conversations.
NHL Begins Week 3 Of The New Season
The third week of the NHL season is upon us, and we have one remaining organization stuck without a win to start the year. The San Jose Sharks are floundering in the water with 4 losses and a pair of overtime losses through six games, and they have a tough assignment on Wednesday night. A trip to MSG to face the Rangers is on deck for the winless outfit, although the Blue Shirts haven’t exactly been in sync yet themselves.
The Atlantic Division standings are the most interesting, with the Habs and Wings perched on top of the standings. Raise your hand if you had Montreal tied with 12 points through the first two weeks of the season. Ironically, all four division leaders have 12 points going into Thursday night’s action, and there is plenty of it to take in. There are 10 games on the NHL slate on Thursday, and the weekend is jam-packed with even more action, so get those bets on the board!
Soccer Weekend: MLS Playoffs, EPL, and El Clasico!
The MLS Playoffs kicked off on Wednesday night with a pair of first-round clashes. Portland and Chicago advanced to the next phase after equal 3 - 1 wins, and there will be games being played from Friday into next week as the postseason continues.
Lionel Messi and Miami will host Nashville on Friday night, and seven more matches will take place from the 26th through the 29th. We will have the lines fired up and ready in the pick center for you, MLS fans!
Arsenal and Man City continued their winning ways after the International Break last weekend, and the two clubs sit 1 and 2 in the EPL table heading into this weekend’s round of action. Can you believe we are already at Round 9 of the campaign?
Real Madrid and Barcelona are only separated by 2 points atop the La Liga table, and would you look what we have in store for this weekend… El Clasico! Real Madrid and Barcelona clash this weekend, and all eyes will be on them for the epic clash in store! The line setters are expecting a big game with plenty of goals to be found, so this might be a wild one!
The Total of 3.5 is even juiced at -125 if you want to see it go over, so that tells that story about the first El Clasico of the La Liga campaign.
