week ahead 1016-1

NFL Week 7 Betting

The Miami Dolphins enjoyed champagne this past week, as they have done every year since they went undefeated in 1972. With losses by the Bills and Eagles two weeks ago, there are no more undefeated teams, which means the Dolphins' incredible accomplishment will live in infamy a little longer.

The Eagles’ loss carried over into another second defeat in week 6 against the Giants, as the defending Super Bowl Champions will head to Minnesota this weekend slightly favored by a point.

The Pittsburgh Steelers host the Thursday Night Game of the Week, and they’ll play the hapless Bengals, who have dropped their last four games. No Joe, No Show for Cincinnati, and until he gets back, we can expect the Bengals to be underdogs week after week, as they are on Thursday.

A game that suddenly became interesting this weekend comes from Jacksonville, as the 4 - 2 hosts welcome the 4 - 2 Rams to town. Los Angeles is favored by a field goal, and then we have the brown-bag game of the week in Cleveland.

The Dolphins and Browns are 1 - 5, and Cleveland is favored by a field goal in a game that no one cares about. Get the brown bags out for the heads of the fans who lose this game, because the season will be essentially OVER!

The Indianapolis Colts and LA Chargers square off in an interesting battle between two overachieving teams in 2025. The 5 - 1 Colts have flown out of the gate with success, but their slight underdogs this weekend on the road against those Harbaugh-led Chargers at 4 - 2.

One of the two Monday night games this week features the 5 - 1 Tampa Bay Buccs and the 4 - 2 pissed off Lions! As we know, the end of the Chiefs vs Lions game ended with some hostility after Detroit picked up loss #2 of the season in Kansas City last weekend.

NCAA Football Week 8 Betting

Week 8 of the NCAA Football season started early this week again, and we’re getting used to Tuesday and Wednesday night games. That basically means we get football every day of the week for the next weeks, including NFL games. That’s all right with us, because the pick center will be loaded with lines and totals with the potential for more prop bets coming to the platform.

With only one Thursday night game that leads to four Friday affairs, the Saturday slate is filled with action, as usual.

It’s time for another Holy War! BYU and Utah reunite for another session of Holy War action on Saturday, and this game has plenty of Big 12 impact. The 6 - 0 Cougars are 3-point underdogs at home, and the 5 - 1 Utes have plans to knock that 0 into a 1 in the loss column.

Tennessee and Alabama bring two 5 - 1 teams to Tuscaloosa on Saturday, but ESPN Gameday is going between the hedges this week. 6 - 0 Ole Miss and 5 - 1 Georgia have their own SEC battle to deal with on Saturday, and only 10 undefeated teams remain in FBS play.

MLB Playoffs: Championship Series’ Full of Excitement

The postseason has been wild thus far, and now we're down to four teams battling it out for the World Series.

The Dodgers are heading back home with a 2 - 0 NLCS lead on Thursday night, and the Los Angeles pitching has dominated the series. Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto had complete control of the Brewers in Milwaukee, and now they are on the brink of returning to the World Series to defend last year’s title.

The Seattle Mariners bashed their way to a 2 - 0 ALCS lead before returning home last night, and all the Blue Jays did was bash their way back into the series last night. Runs, runs, and more runs have been scored in the first three games of the ALCS, so what is next? Tune in to find out, and check out the Playmaker Area on the platform to see which of our experts has baseball bets posted!

This Week Inside the Octagon: UFC Fight Night From Canada

It’s time to get it on! We’re headed to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, for this week’s Fight Night. A Middleweight main event features Reinier de Ridder (21 - 2) taking on Brendan Allen (25 - 7), and the former is the favorite at -225 to get the job done.

A Flyweight women’s match between  Manon Fiorot (12 - 2) and Jasmine Jasudavicius (14 - 3) will be an interesting battle, but the Canadian native is the underdog against her French opponent.

WTA / ATP Season’s Winding Down:

We are not far from the end of the regular season, and the WTA tour is in Asia this week, finishing up events in Ningbo, China, and Osaka, Japan.

Six of the eight spots toward the 2025 WTA Finals have been filled, and only two more players can claim their way into the massive tournament to finish up the season.

The men are in Europe this week playing in Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Brussels in Belgium. Stockholm is also busy with a men’s tournament before they reach the ATP Finals. Only Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz have clinched their spots in the end-of-year event, but that will change over the next weeks.

NHL Two Weeks Into New Campaign:

We’ve dropped the puck on the 2025-26 NHL campaign, and only two teams have managed to stay perfect to open the year. The Carolina Hurricanes and Dallas Stars have jumped out to a perfect 3 - 0 start to the season, and every other organization has tasted at least one defeat already, whether it be in regulation, OT, or a shootout.

Among the surprises in 2025 thus far is the concern for the Ottawa Senators and Calgary Flames. The pair of Canadian clubs have been giving up goals like they are going out of style, and they are both at the bottom of their divisions at 1 - 3 and 1 - 4, semi-respectively.

The 0 - 3 Islanders will be in Ottawa this Saturday, so buckle up for… who knows what ugliness can transpire!

3 - 1 Boston will clash with 3 - 0 - 1 Colorado this weekend, making that a game to keep an eye on, and Ej has a bet to give out for Friday night, if you choose to ride the action. The Detroit Red Wings will be at home on Friday night against Tampa Bay. The Wings are a big dog at +145 on the early line, so don’t waste time getting to the expected win for the home team with the beautiful odds behind it!

Soccer Weekend: MLS, EPL, La Liga in Action

It’s DECISION DAY in the MLS! The final weekend of regular season action kicks off on Saturday, with every club taking the pitch.

Eight of the matches will kick off at 6 p.m. ET, and the final seven bouts of the season will start at 9 p.m. ET.

Philadelphia has already secured home-field advantage throughout the postseason, and they will wrap up the season against a Charlotte team trying to secure the 4-seed in the Eastern Conference.

Charlotte and NYCFC are tied with 56 points, and Nashville is hanging right around them with 54 points, hoping to jump spots.

The Western Conference race has so much left to be decided, including who takes the top spot. Vancouver is 3 points up on San Diego, but if the Whitecaps lose to Dallas at home, and San Diego beats Portland on the road, the newly promoted San Diego squad will earn top honors and steal that spot from Vancouver.

While the top-9 playoff positions in the Eastern Conference have all been earned going into the final games, San Jose, Colorado, Real Salt Lake, and Dallas are fighting for the last two playoff spots in the Western Conference.

After a weekend off for International World Cup qualifying, the EPL returns to action this weekend, as well as La Liga.

Arsenal and Liverpool have taken the lead in the EPL table, entering this weekend’s round of matches. Tottenham and Bournemouth are on their tails as play continues into the weekend, and we will have all of the lines posted to get your action on the board for MLS, EPL, and La Liga!
