Draymond Green receives a warning from the NBA for a fan altercation in New Orleans, while the Chicago Bulls are favored against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The NBA has given Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green a warning after a heated moment with a fan during their recent game in New Orleans. Luckily, Green won’t have to pay a fine for the incident, according to sources close to the league.

What happened was pretty simple — just a few minutes left in the second quarter, Green walked over to a fan sitting right by the court. The two exchanged some words, but things didn’t get out of hand. After the game, Green explained that the fan “kept calling me a woman,” which was what set him off.

The fan, who later told reporters his name was Sam Green, a 35-year-old from New Orleans, said he was shouting “Angel Reese” at Draymond. He was poking fun because Draymond had grabbed a lot of rebounds but didn’t take many shots.

Draymond had this to say about it: “He kept calling me a woman. It was funny once, but you can’t keep doing that. I have four kids and one on the way. You just can’t keep calling me a woman.”

Brandin Podziemski, a guard for the Warriors, was right there early on trying to make sure things didn’t blow up. He told reporters after a practice on Tuesday that the fan was taunting Draymond most of the game, and he just wanted to keep things calm.

“I heard the fan chirping at Dray the entire game, at least until Draymond went over to him. I just wanted to make sure Dray didn’t get into any kind of fight or trouble that could cost him or us,” Podziemski said. “I just reminded him it’s not worth it.”

Podziemski also mentioned that players have to deal with fans shouting stuff at them all the time but usually try not to pay attention.

“It probably happens more than you’d think,” he said. “Personally, I just try to tune it out. Draymond’s been in the league a long time, so he knows how to handle things. But as teammates, we’re always there to have his back.”

On the court, Green put up 8 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and dished out 6 assists in the Warriors’ 124-106 win over the Pelicans. The Warriors are now 9-6 on the season and will face the Orlando Magic next.

Wilson's Pick Focus: Chicago Bulls @ Portland Trail Blazers (Bulls ML)

I’m leaning toward Chicago here because they bring just a little more balance into this matchup. Both teams want to run, both can score, and both give up more points than they should, but Chicago’s edge on the glass and the crucial playmaking combination of Josh Giddey and Nikola Vucevic gives them a more reliable structure late in games. Portland’s top scorers can hang with anyone, but their defensive issues keep allowing opponents to stay close, and that’s exactly the type of environment where Chicago tends to settle in.

The Bulls are coming off a gritty 130–127 win over Denver where they moved the ball extremely well (31 assists), knocked down 19 threes, and matched the Nuggets on the boards. Josh Giddey contributed a massive 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 6 assists in that win, demonstrating that kind of high-level production and bench pop matters against a Blazers team that struggles to string together stops.

Portland is capable of pushing the pace, but their defensive shortcomings are hard to trust. They’ve surrendered 122.2 points per game and allowed Dallas to shoot over 50% in their last outing. Even when Shaedon Sharpe or another scorer gets hot, they’re always working uphill because they can’t get consistent stops. That creates a perfect window for Chicago’s rebounding and ball movement to control the tempo late.

In another game that should lean toward offense, I trust the Bulls’ structure more than the Blazers’ volatility. Chicago’s ability to rebound, pass, and stay organized in key possessions gives them the advantage. Find the best price on the Chicago Bulls ML and all other NBA picks today at Bankroll U!
