Barstool’s Pardon My Take will move its video podcast exclusively to Netflix in January 2026, with Big Cat and PFT confirming content will remain unchanged.

If you regularly watch the video version of Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast on YouTube, note that this will change starting in 2026. Hosts Dan “Big Cat” Katz and Eric “PFT Commenter” Sollenberger announced that the show's video content will become exclusive to Netflix beginning January 2026.

Big Cat shared the details during Thursday's episode: “In 2026 January. We don’t have the exact date, but we have come to a deal with Netflix. Pardon My Take is going to be on Netflix. So here’s how it’s going to work: our podcast video will be exclusively on Netflix.”

This shift represents a significant step for the podcast, which has established itself as one of the most prominent sports media brands over the past decade. Big Cat described the Netflix partnership as both a personal achievement and a key opportunity. “It’s a big deal for the podcast. It’s surreal. I think it’s going to open some more doors for us. It also allows us to compensate and let some of the behind-the-scenes guys, guys in the booth. All these other guys share in the success of the podcast. So we’re very excited about that part,” he explained.

The content itself will stay the same, despite the platform switch for the video. Big Cat stressed: “Nothing is changing in terms of content. Netflix, we talked to them, a great partner, so nothing’s going to be changing. It’s just that’s where the podcast is going to live now, and we’re excited.”

He also reflected on the podcast's growth and this milestone: “This has been a crazy journey, and obviously the podcast is doing very well. It’s cool to have an opportunity like this. So we’re pumped.” Audio listeners will see no changes in access, and Pardon My Take has held a steady spot in YouTube's top 100 weekly podcast charts throughout the year.

PFT Commenter highlighted the potential to reach broader audiences, including families. “One thing that I’ve really liked over the years is when we find out about parents and their kids listening to Pardon My Take, that it’s becoming something they bond over. It’s nice to hear. I feel like, even with Netflix, that’s going to be a good barrier to clear with parents. Trying to explain to my mom how to get on YouTube or to watch the podcast, it’s kind of difficult. She’s locked and loaded on Netflix,” he said.

This announcement aligns with recent developments in the industry. Yesterday, iHeartMedia, the leading audio company in the U.S., and Netflix revealed an exclusive video podcasting partnership. It will bring more than 15 original iHeartPodcasts to Netflix, including all new episodes and select ones from existing libraries.

Earlier this year, Netflix and Spotify announced a partnership to deliver some of Spotify's top podcasts to the platform in 2026. Many of these come from The Ringer, launched by Bill Simmons in 2016 and acquired by Spotify for $250 million in 2020. The network includes more than 50 programs.

Netflix is increasingly partnering with popular podcasts, reflecting a trend toward integrating audio content into video streaming. As Pardon My Take prepares for its debut, fans can look forward to the familiar blend of sports commentary, interviews, and comedic segments that have made it a staple in sports media.
