Jalen Ramsey Ejected from Bengals Game After Scuffle with Ja’Marr Chase
Jalen Ramsey was ejected from the Bengals game after a scuffle with Ja'Marr Chase. The incident could lead to further penalties for Chase if investigated.

Jalen Ramsey got kicked out of the Bengals game after a scuffle with Ja’Marr Chase. He claimed Chase spit on him first. That’s what led Ramsey to throw a punch, which got him ejected from the game.
NFL rules are pretty clear: if a player spits on an opponent, it usually comes with at least a one-game suspension. We actually saw something similar at the start of the season when Jalen Carter spat on Dak Prescott in the Eagles-Cowboys opener. Carter got ejected and missed pretty much the whole game, so the league counted that as his suspension.
This time, Chase wasn’t ejected during the game. But if the NFL looks into Ramsey’s claims and finds Chase did spit on him, then Chase could end up missing the Bengals’ Week 12 game against the Patriots.
For now, Chase denies any spitting happened.
The Bengals and Steelers brought that classic AFC North physical football vibe today. Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals’ star receiver, and Jalen Ramsey from the Steelers have had a back-and-forth going all game, and things finally boiled over.
They were jawing at each other the entire game and both got personal foul flags in the 4th quarter. Then, right after those penalties canceled each other out, during a timeout, Ramsey threw a punch at Chase. That punch got Ramsey ejected right away.
The Bengals were facing a big 4th and 1, but Ramsey’s 15-yard penalty handed the Bengals automatic first down, giving their QB, Flacco, a big break.
This fight probably has some history. Ramsey was clearly frustrated after losing to the Bengals earlier this season, when Chase set a franchise record with 16 catches. So the bad blood carried over into today’s game.
After the game, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Ramsey’s punch and ejection. He basically said it didn’t matter why Ramsey threw the punch.
“We gotta be smarter,” Tomlin said. “We gotta stay in football games, as individuals.”
The referee, Bill Vinovich, said he didn’t see Chase spit on Ramsey. Ramsey was ejected because he threw a punch. But if you watch the field-level video closely, it actually shows Chase spitting toward Ramsey.
Even with Ramsey out, the Bengals didn’t get much out of the ejection. Their record has dropped to 3-7 this season, and chances of making the playoffs are looking pretty slim.
Wilson Pick Focus: Buffalo Bills @ Houston Texans (Bills ML, U 43.5, -110)
I trust Buffalo to go on the road and handle business, but I’m not expecting a shootout. Houston brings the NFL’s No. 1 scoring defense into this matchup, giving up just 16.3 points per game, and their entire identity revolves around slowing games down and forcing mistakes. That’s exactly the kind of defense that can bait Josh Allen into a couple of risky throws, even after a six-touchdown performance against Tampa Bay. Buffalo’s offense is explosive, but Allen’s turnovers always hover in the background, and the Texans’ +6 turnover differential is built to take advantage of that.
The Bills will still have the edge, though. Their pass defense sits near the top of the league, holding quarterbacks to 169.7 yards per game and generating pressure at a top-five rate. With Houston trending toward being without C.J. Stroud and the Bills possibly missing Dalton Kincaid, this matchup leans heavily into Buffalo’s defensive strengths. The Texans can move the ball in spots with Davis Mills, but not consistently enough to win a track meet.
When it comes to the total, I’m not buying into a fast-paced offensive game. Houston’s offense doesn’t push the tempo, and their defense limits explosive plays better than anyone in football. Factor in Houston’s top-three run defense, and both teams are going to have to work for yards all night. That’s exactly the formula that drags a total down.
I’m backing Buffalo to win, but I’m leaning Under in what should feel like a controlled, methodical primetime matchup rather than a fireworks show. You can lock in this winning combination of the Bills ML and the Under 43.5 (-110) now at Bankroll U!
