After Oregon’s monster win at Penn State during a white out with College Game Day in town, The Ducks have leapfrogged from 6th to 2nd in the newly announced AP Poll. The Happy Valley clash was arguably one of the best games of the weekend, not only in the Big 10, but around the landscape of college football. The loss didn’t hurt Penn State enough to drop them from the top-10 of the rankings, as they are one of three one-loss teams taking up the top spots.

The Oklahoma Sooners and Texas A&M Aggies jumped to 5th and 6th in the newly announced poll representing the SEC. The Sooners enjoyed a bye week to prepare for this weekend’s heavy battle against Kent State… err uh, yeah, that’s sarcasm for ya … The Sooners are favored by 45 points, so let’s go out on a limb and say they’ll be joining the 5 - 0 ranks and safely securing their newly promoted top-5 slot.

Texas begins a stretch of four road games in the month of October, starting with a trip to The Swamp this weekend to face struggling Florida. The Horns are favored by a TD to begin the trip, and then it’s on to Dallas for the Texas State Fair battle against Oklahoma. As we just mentioned, we know Oklahoma will be 5 - 0 when they get to Dallas, so how will Texas fare in the Sunshine State on Saturday?

The Tide have a game this weekend that no one thought would be this big of an event. The 5 - 0 Vanderbilt Commodores roll into Tuscaloosa, and we know some revenge is a word being used around one locker room. The Commodores were 24-point underdogs against Alabama last year, and Vandy dumped 40 on The Tide to upset them outright, 40 - 35!
ESPN just announced that College Gameday is coming to Tuscaloosa this weekend for the big tilt, and Alabama is favored by -11.5! Oh, I know someone who might be thinking of a dog with that kind of line, so tune into the Build A Bigger Bankroll show this week to find out!
